Welcome! I’m Jolie.

I’m a writer, storyteller, and Oxford-Comma-enthusiast.

My mission is to help brands make valuable connections with their community by cultivating stories rooted in compassion.

I believe that there is space for every story. Highlighting the humanity in all of us will only allow us to collectively thrive.

We’ve all been there (Myself included!).

It all makes sense in your head, but on paper, it looks more like alphabet soup than the well-executed content you really need. 

At the same time, you can’t wait to connect with your people. How you share your story is what will bring you all together. 

In an era of information overload and overpromises, you crave finding a balance between being a resource and a voice of compassion.

That’s where I come in.

I help you tell a story centered around your values with honest emotions so you can engage with your community and get more sales leads.

It (likely) all started with a library card

As an only child, I had a lot of time to myself to dream. Books would keep me company as I wandered through universes alike and unlike my own. 

As a daughter of immigrants, I was even more so caught between two worlds. I wondered what my own story had to offer, and how I wanted to chart my path forward.

Clutching my degree in Communications, I started out as a tech copywriter. But, feeling disconnected, I found my way back to higher education, where I met thousands of students and witnessed them advocate for their goals as future leaders. I ultimately earned my MEd in Higher Education Administration to develop a deeper awareness of how to support tomorrow’s changemakers.

After nearly 5 years in the profession, unexpected circumstances led me to leaving the traditional workplace…

…right before the global pandemic (Oof, I know).

In a time of unknown, I started a blog and transitioned into leadership coaching, where I worked with inspiring thought leaders, visionaries, and makers. However, with everyone demanding eyes on them, I lost my direction. Soon after, I was back at a 9-5 in a customer success role, hoping that this was the new start that I needed.

But, something about entrepreneurship kept pulling me back in (If you know, you know...).

I purchased a new web domain, and here we are (again!).

See, I’m a proud story-chaser. Actively listening to people’s needs paired with my deep curiosity allows me to extract the “why” with greater understanding.

Now, I help industry leaders weave storytelling into content that humanizes and highlights their impact.

Sipping on matcha lattes, watching a k-drama with my partner, baking something not too sweet, indoor cycling to 2010s remixes, picnicking by the Boston waterfront, reading multiple books at once, daydreaming about traveling somewhere warm, and exploring the outdoors with my irresistibly cute pup, Basil.

What I believe

Stories are invaluable in laying the groundwork for change.

No story is the same. We can reflect, envision, and take action alongside the narratives that we gather.

In our storytelling practice, I’m committed to collaborative partnerships that are open and flexible in a state of constantly evolving and iterative language. Together, we are accountable for making a continuous effort to expand our worldview, and are comfortable with changing our beliefs to align with what we learn.

    We will likely never have or know the full story. Having space for compassion allows us to broaden our perspective, and understand that we are complex beings. With more grace and empathy, we give each other and ourselves space for evolution.

    Human connections are the threads that strengthen our communities. Being connected with each other makes it so we can share, collaborate, and build something greater than our individual efforts.

  • Curiosity

    Being curious is continuing to ask questions. Sometimes that means accepting that there’s no answer (yet), and creates an open dialogue for new solutions. Lifelong learning is a commitment to expanding beyond the constraints that exist, so we can improve and grow.
